Southwest Niche

We built this niche area into the side of a linen closet in the hall.  The spacing was based on the placement of the existing wiring.

Texture galore on this Custom Etagere

Our purple and orange bathroom!  Our son, (a licensed contractor here in Oregon) built the vanity frame and we covered it with saguaro ribs.  The etagere was purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond and I attached saguaro ribs to the exterior and willows to the sliding doors.

Verde Fuoco counters and copper sinks.

Our house had a very white kitchen when we purchased it and we could easily justify "gutting" it down to bare walls and turning it into our dream kitchen.

We finally found the verde fuaco granite and built our dream kitchen!  Will post before and after pictures later...

Our built in entertainment center...

We designed our own entertainment center using our new TV to establish the size and viewing the many different designs at Dagr Design.  Our son, (a licensed contractor here in Oregon)  built it and David Swidrak with CPR, also here in Oregon, did the venetian plaster finish on it.  I personally added the slate pieces around the bottom edge and the saguaro ribs on the doors which hide all the electronic components.

These are saguaro ribs - yes, from the Saguaro Cactus. They have to be imported since the plant is protected in the US. Looks great when added to table insets, headboards, nightstands or buffets for texture.. Available at Old Pueblo Adobe Company.

I finally found willow rods and bundles

In 2002 at the St. George Parade of Homes, I fell in love with their use of texture in decorating. The cold air returns, among other things, were made with a material I could see in my minds' eye but for which I had no name. I have continually searched for it and finally, on October 14, 2006, I found it - willow rods and willow bundles. I have an order in with Nettleton Hollow, and when I have successfully completed a project with it I will post a photo.
